Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of ClassHarbor. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you use ClassHarbor on behalf of a school or district, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that use.

ClassHarbor is intended for teachers, school staff, and other education professionals. Students do not create accounts.

ClassHarbor provides classroom-management tools: rosters and attendance tracking, behavior records, weekly schedules, seating charts, class jobs, a gradebook, parent communication logs, conference scheduling with parent self-booking, and optional Google Calendar syncing. Optional add-ons, such as the Mindfulness Studio, may be offered for an additional fee.

You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be 18 or older (or have the consent of a parent/guardian or your school) to create an account.

ClassHarbor starts with a 1-month free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, the service is $4.99/month or $40/year, and the optional Mindfulness Studio add-on is $1.49/month or $10/year, in US dollars.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the app, and you’ll keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice; a price change never applies retroactively to a period you’ve already paid for. Refunds are handled case by case — contact us and we’ll work with you.

You are responsible for the information you store in ClassHarbor. By entering student or parent information, you confirm that you have the right to collect and use it under your school’s policies and applicable law, including FERPA. Parent contact details you enter should be used only for educational communication.

You agree not to:

• Use ClassHarbor for any unlawful purpose or to store information you have no right to hold.
• Attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with another user’s account or data.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or make automated bulk use of the service without permission.
• Share your conference booking links beyond the families they were created for.

The ClassHarbor app, design, and content are owned by ClassHarbor. You retain all rights to the classroom content you create and store. You grant us only the limited right to store and process your content as needed to run the service.

We work hard to keep ClassHarbor reliable, but no online service is available 100% of the time, and maintenance or outages can occasionally occur. We may add, change, or remove features over time; if we remove something significant, we’ll give you reasonable notice.

ClassHarbor is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Records kept in the app are a convenience, not your school’s official system of record.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassHarbor is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You can close your account at any time from the Settings screen. After the 7-day recovery window, your data is permanently deleted. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, and we’ll tell you why when we do.

If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use ClassHarbor after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always available at classharborapp.com/terms.
